THE OPPORTUNITY

Xerox Corporation was challenged to reallocate its 25-day leader-led New Hire program from a paper-based format to an interactive, online learning environment. Primary content enhancement objectives included the improvement of learner retention and application of product knowledge to ensure that new hires can be immediately successful on the job. With the transition of the program to an online environment, Infinite Media was also consulted to provide a solution to facilitate a virtual management process for online classrooms.

THE SOLUTION

Infinite Media partnered with the Xerox Education and Learning Development team to refine, enhance and improve the learning effectiveness and facilitation of the New Hire Sales program. Enhancements included consolidating existing content, integration of new media components and the development and implementation of learner tracking tools and class management features. Through the administrative management tools, Sales Training Managers have the ability to report on conference call attendance, self-check activity submission, assessment completion and overall status of module completions. Similar progress management features were available to the learners for selfmanagement and progress indication.

RESULTS

Sales Training Facilitators and Regional Sales Managers were equipped with the learning management tools to efficiently track and manage regional and national classes. Backed by a high-end reporting system, the New Hire Sales Program provided the end business unit with detailed and quantifiable data and the end-learner with a structured learning process.
