9/20/2019 - Infinite Media Provides an Update on its Continued Partnership with ONTraC
Toronto, ON – Today, Infinite Media, an integrated digital company, is pleased to provide an update on its ongoing partnership with Ontario Nurse Transfusion Coordinators (ONTraC). The Ontario Nurse Transfusion Coordinators (ONTraC) Program is a blood conservation program by the province of Ontario which tracks the number of blood transfusions and use of blood supplies by Ontario hospitals. Thanks to the work of the Infinite Media team, the ONTraC program is able to accurately capture blood use data from over 20 hospitals across Ontario. This important data helps the province to reduce waste and costs by more effectively distributing blood supplies.
The ONTraC Program is coordinated by St. Michael’s Hospital, and has been in existence since 2002 with Infinite Media as a partner since 2006, when the company was hired to design and implement a customized Electronic Data Capture (EDC) system.
Over the years, this EDC system has proven an invaluable tool for accurately capturing data about operations and blood use at hospitals helping to make decisions about blood distribution. The ONTraC team have continued to rely on Infinite Media’s robust tools for this important decision making information.
Additionally, Infinite Media also hosts and produces ONTraC’s public website; an important hub of information and resources for patients and health care workers.

Formed in 2002, the ONTraC program is a unique initiative supported by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care to implement a peri-operative blood conservation program in 23 hospitals throughout Ontario.
