   Robert Morash - General Manager - Head Canada
 
Rob is a sports industry executive with over 25 years of experience in sales, marketing and general management with companies such as Head, Amer Sports, Nike, Nabisco and Nestle. Rob is currently the General Manager of Head Canada where he is responsible for the sales and profitability of the Canadian ski and tennis business for Head’s global operation.

Previous to Head, Rob held a series of increasingly senior management roles with Amer Sports, one of the world’s leading sport equipment companies, and was the Managing Director for Nike Bauer Canada with responsibility for the growth and profitability of its Canadian hockey business.
Past and current involvement outside of his specific career obligations include: Board Director for the Toronto Cricket Skating and Curling Club, Program Advisory Committee member with George Brown College’s Sport and Event Marketing program, President of the Canadian Inline Skating Trade Association, Chair of the International Ice Hockey Summit, Right To Play Special Events Committee,  and had a 15 year hockey and soccer coaching career in youth amateur sports.

Rob is a graduate of Queen’s University with an Honours Degree in Economics and holds a French Immersion certificate from Universite d’Aix en Provence, France.

“I have been involved with the Sport & Event Marketing Program since we launched more than 20 years ago. I've seen our graduates move through the ranks into leadership positions throughout the Sports Business industry. The launch of the '5 To Watch Awards' has established our program and the Centre for Business at George Brown as true industry leaders. It is also gratifying to see key corporate partners supporting this event, to assist our fundraising for bursaries to help those students just embarking on their careers".

Mr. Fenton has held executive roles in both the private sector and the Not-for-Profit industry, with national, regional and international organizations.
During his career, he has worked in the Healthcare, Social Services, Government Relations, Communications and Education sectors. With a strong entrepreneurial focus, he has built a track record of success in leading high-level Board engagement, creating innovative funding strategies and developing integrated branding and communication campaigns.
 
Currently, he is the Executive Director with ACG – the Toronto Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth. ACG is an international business association serving a global community of 14,000 members in 57 chapters worldwide, including four in Canada. 
 
Mr. Fenton also worked previously with 
Macedonia 2025, West Park Healthcare Centre Foundation, The National Advertising Benevolent Society (NABS Canada), Marketing Magazine (Rogers Media), Tennis Canada, Canadian National Sportsmen’s Shows.
 
He holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree (Sports Administration) from Laurentian University; as well as the CFRE designation (Certified Fundraising Executive).

   Jodi Clare - Director, Partnerships Marketing - The Cadillac Fairview Corporation
 
Jodi Clare has over fifteen years experience in the sports and entertainment industry. 
 
Currently, she is Director, Marketing Partnerships at Cadillac Fairview working with the national marketing team to identify partnership opportunities for 20 retail properties across the country.
 
Prior to Cadillac Fairview, she spent her entire career working on sport properties.  At Canada’s Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium, Clare was the direct liaison with the Consortium’s key corporate clients and the Consortium’s broadcast partners.
Clare joined the Consortium as Senior Manager, Marketing & Partnerships in 2009 to provide seamless sponsor and partner service while contributing to the revenue target. Key clients included McDonald’s, RBC, and Tim Hortons.
 
For Vancouver 2010, Clare was a Live Sponsorship Manager in Master Control, a unique role that ensured promises made to clients, including sport specific placement and features were carried out.
 
Previously, Clare worked at IMG Canada for nine years, starting as an intern and leaving as Director, Partnerships & Events. There she worked with clients including BMO, HomeSense, HSBC, Investors Group, Smucker’s, Sony, TELUS, Unilever, and Winners to deliver successful sponsorship programs. Throughout her agency career, she executed some of the most recognizable properties in the country – Stars on Ice, TELUS World Skins, Fashion Week in Toronto, and a variety of events for the Canadian Soccer Association, Clare also acted as a sponsorship consultant to Skate Canada, working to integrate brands into Skate Canada’s properties.
 
Clare has a Bachelor of Physical Education from Brock University, Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Administration from Durham College.

   Bill Gaskey - CEO/Partner - Get Tickets E-Solutions Inc.
 
Bill’s experience brings a unique blend of marketing strategy, brand building, major league sports management pedigree and entrepreneurship. Most notably, Bill was the Managing Director of NBA Canada for 5 years where he oversaw all elements of the league’s Canadian assets. Prior to the NBA Bill served as Marketing Director at Labatt Breweries where he managed the flagship brand Blue and oversaw the company’s cornerstone sports properties. Since the NBA, Bill has served on a variety of boards and has nurtured and sold his position in his own company, Get Tickets E-Solutions Inc. More recently Bill is onto his newest venture, TOKEN Mobile Solutions Inc.

   Peter Widdis - Professor, Sports Marketing and Innovation, George Brown College
 




 
Peter sparks the joy of innovation into people, places and things. He is a tenured faculty member of the Centre for Business and a full-time professor in the School of Marketing. Peter is also the founder of Name-On Ventures™ and a professional speaker. Prior to entering the world of academia, Peter held executive roles at Launch! / Mosaic North America, Marc Anthony Cosmetics, Campbell's, Cadbury plc., Lang & Associates and Grey Advertising.

Noted accomplishments include a trip to CBC's Dragons’ Den with a tech start-up and Campbell's® SIAL award-winning Soup at Hand™ innovation. In addition, Peter created the Cadbury® "Mr. Big® is Vince Carter" Sports-CSR™ model, an IEG sponsorship case study. Fast-forward to today, his reality TV-inspired Exam-Jam™ production is disrupting experiential-learning in Sport & Event Marketing.
